I accidentally sneezed while testing audio levels but it happened to be self-contained with the right volume for an isolated sound effect! recorded on my new blue yeti nano with noise reduction applied. I wasn't really prepared when it happened so there might be some minor clicking/noise and i couldn't really remove it. Free for anyone to use and i'd love to know if anyone includes it in their projects!.

It's my voice and i sing do, re, mi, fa, sol for my game. You can change the file as mix, like nightcore version, child version, chorus version, funny man version, etc. In my christmas game, i need voice for my 5 little angels sing for hints( that's the reason why i only sing 5 music notes), just edit the file from each part!. And i record it only use microsoft audio recorder application( default application).

All i did is that i recorded and played a little riff on my violin with my ipad, and then add some reverb, and delay effects in audacity. (very eerie-like, but pretty). This kind of reverb used in the beginning and end of the riff is a cathedral room-like sound, and a few seconds of delay. I used mostly double-stops during the riff. Enjoy.

I only use a triple osc and i took an advantage of the several asio bugs of my soundcard. I don't mix the sound. I've re-recorded that shape 17 times, after that, i applied massive echo and reverb filters. 3 osc, echo, reverb, compressor. For this record, i've deleted the major part of the notes. Some new settings of the echo filter, are applied.

A small park in higashi-koenji, tokyo at dusk. There are some university aged kids drinking and smoking in the background. I wanted to record the fountain sound as well, but the fountain had already been turned off. You can hear some bird, rustling of the wind in the trees and traffic in the distance. Recorded with a pair of mics at 120 degrees.

A huge ice storm moves in to the back woods of north carolina on 01/30/2014. First it snowed. . . And then it sleeted. When all that sleet froze on the surface of the snow, walking in this winter-wonderland produced an amazing sound. So, i put on my boots, grabbed my zoomh4n and set out to record the magic!. This would be very useful as foley fx for walking in any frozen environment. I walked on various surfaces and depths of ice and snow throughout. I tried to leave enough space between steps so that the sounds do not overlap so that they can be cut for editing purposes. Enjoy!. - christopher c. Courter.

4-channel surround (irt-cross/25cm) record of a lightning and rolling thunder with (nearly) no rain. The spatial impression is best if headphones are used. Ch1 = flch2 = frch3 = rlch4 = rr. Another very popular thunder clap maybe also interesting:https://freesound. Org/people/bluedelta/sounds/446753/. The download-file is a polywav. If you need to split the file (e. G. This racing vehicles recording 2 track. It might be viable for use in racing and driving video games. But over the past few years, games emerged as some of the top-selling products in video and computer gaming. The main focus in such a project would be on generating a score by merging a few sounds in the background of the soundtrack (such as bumping or breaking) with specific vehicle sound effects (such as braking). Loops would be used to affect pre-composed music, using live data to change the mix and instrumental direction (such as the dynamics, texture or timbre), or even the pitch, rhythm or tempo), moreover, the musical soundtrack for racing vehicle gameplay could be stored in a memory card to use in digital sport car sounds unit that convenient sound effects according to the processes, which is essential to participate in the training driver by granting the user with more information. In real life, the driver has more sensory information.

Several years back my older brother stumbled upon a bunch of old family reel to reel films and sat down one evening to project them on a wall and digitize them. This is the sound of that process. What you can hear, i imagine, is the noise of the projector in the left channel and the sound of the reels in the right channel. I've been obsessed with the sounds of the infinite variation in old analog hardware. As a sound designer, that infinite variation is often sought after but rarely, or accurately, reproduced through digital files in various libraries. Of if they are, they're often too short to cover whatever scene i am trying to fill. On the surface it's just noise but if you listen closer it's this wonderful cacophony of overlapping and repeating sounds that are always looping but never quite identical on each rotation. It was ripped from youtube using audio hijack at 48khz/16bit, but due to youtube re-encoding things as youtube does, it's nowhere near the source. It's still, in my opinion, a sound worth sharing. Enjoy!.

The story begins by a music that i found. A open door, heels, then silence, a chair, computer sounds with mouse, retake of music and close of the door. , who is the ending of music too. To produce that, i choose audacity; i take recorded moments of life. For the technique, i choose a fade in and fade out for the music and the recorded sounds fit well together. For the moments of silence, when the work begins, i only let the recorded sound talk without music. I choose to work with two mono audio tracks: on for the music and the other for the daily sounds. Descriptif selon la typologie de schaeffer. 1. Masse : son dit “cannelés”2. Timbre harmonique :3. Grain : rugueux4. Allure : non vibrato5. Dynamique : abrupte6. Profil mélodique : tentatives de variations glissantes7. Profil de masse : son cyclique avec des moments doux puis un peu plus fort.

Record of the walk and start of the car. On the recording you can hear footsteps on the rocky ground. Opening the car and then putting the key to the ignition and starting the car. Car sound is audible inside the car and may be hard to hear. I made the recording on the zoom h5 handy recorder. The headphones used are superlux. I used a sandisk 32 gb card. Regards :).

Recording of clothes in the dry cleaner for a bit longer than one hour. I recorded this in order to use for my newborn to be able to fall asleep as white noise sound. Works pretty fine because of the repetition;at the end of the recording, the machine stops and restarts a few times for a few short cycles. Recorded with zoom h4n in mp3 format. Reduced background noise in audition. Exported to ogg because of large file size.

A single long happy contented sigh of a man aged between 30 and 45. Imagine he's sliding into a hot bath. Or taking a sip from a well deserved cup of coffee. He's a very happy man. Recorded at home on a rode nta1 mic using adobe audition cs6 on a pc. The voice is my own, the only edit was a cleaning of bg noise on the record and a trim to remove extraneous sound.

This is the same sound i recorded 6 years ago, back than i had just a very crappy microphone through my cellphone. Last year i bought an ipad, and i installed hokusai audio editor. This gave me a better way to record in higher quality. Still mono though, but it has less audio artifacts. This alarm is tested once every 3 months all over the swedish towns.

I´ve recorded this sound produced by a large water wheel of 4 meters diameter, in the historical part of augsburg bavaria, part of town where early industry and work shops used water energy for different purposes. This water wheel does not drive any gear any more, it is just for to give an impression of that old water driven industry. The wheel is driven by one of many former industry channels, small rivers through that part of town.

Every saturday morning workers roll the large garbage bin down the driveway at our apartment and dump it into the garbage truck. Usually it's an annoyance, because they come early, but today i decided to record it. I think they thought i was recording them to complain or something, but i told them it was just for my sound effects collection. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

Recording is a 24 bit stereo wav file. Literally using a "motivational speaker" tape found in a box (full of several more of these god awful things!) while digging through the neighborhood trash to test out and setup a pitch-shifted vocal patch for my noisecore project. Effects used: danelectro fish & chips eq, korg ax3g multi-effect, and alesis nanoverb direct to sound card. Processed in goldwave(compression to reduce peaks and fading on the beginning/end. ).

A recording of a recording as it turns out. Throughout different tropical countries you can often hear this being played out of buildings quite loudly and constantly. It is the sound of swallows who are known to make valuable nests out of their saliva. This hardened saliva is quite valuable and so this recording is often used to attract swallows in to nest in buildings. This was recorded in malaysian borneo and used originally here: https://soundcloud. Com/evil-ear/sets/malaysia. Enjoy. Evil ear recordings.

My great-uncle and great-aunt have an old grandfather clock. It doesn't quite work right and only chimes 7 times at 12 o'clock, so i had to record it at 11 and add another chime. Nonetheless, it makes for a great ambient sound, especially in a horror setting. I recorded it with my tablet (samsung galaxy tab a) and edited it with audacity (added in an extra chime, converted it to stereo, etc. ).

Honestly, this is one of the coolest things ever. Just drag this impulse response into your ir reverb plugin and it will make everything sound like it's in a space suit / glass helmet. Really handy for an astronaut speaking, for example. I bought a massive, round, glass fishbowl to record this. Recorded with a zoom h4n. Elmo omnigraphic 253af slide projector, similar to a kodak s-av 2000. Turn on, slide change at 10 second intervals, turn off. Recorded on a marantz pmd 661 with a rode nt4, 250 mm above centre rear of projector, angled down at 45º. I needed this sound as part of an audio-visual that mimics a slide show. I chose to record a 10-second change interval (instead of a shorter interval) because that allows me to razor the waveform between changes, and then extend (or reduce) the time between changes. Too short a time interval between slide changes means you'd have to add motor/fan sound between every change.

Footsteps. . . Note:. These are no field recordings but handmade walking sounds in different speeds and manners intended for game creation. Most of them you can loop. They are recorded as dry as possible so you should add the ambience you like. How to make these:. 1. First empty two bottles of the famous spanish brandy lepanto. 2. Keep the korks - they have a very special sound different from the korks of wine bottles. 3. Then, if you're still able to hit (maybe you shouldn't drink the brandy alone and at once), fill things in a flat bowl or a plate - f. E. Pepper grains or salt. 4. Step the korks in the bowl and record it. You may also - as i did - step the korks on other things like a ventilator. 5. Compress the sounds hard but limit them to -4 db (as they sound not naturally if they are to loud).

Theme scary siren :. Production step :i record a scream. I cut it and extract two different sounds from it. I change the pitch to get the sound more high-pitched. I also change the tempo to be more slow. I separate the track in two and invert the last part. With the enveloppe tool, i change some part of my track manually. I amplify the track. I also use the reverb effect and amplify the size of the room of 60%. I used the noise reduction. At the end i fade out. I used the noise reduction. Description :this sound look like a siren or an alarm. Because the sound is high-pitched, it award an horrific aspect to the track. For me this siren can take place in an old and creepy factory. In some aspect, there is some metallic noise in this sound. The no-regularity of the siren also participate to this strangeness feeling. Typologie de schaeffer :. This is a sound of a mercedes benz 709d mini bus driving on a really hard icy road. It was a rattly old bus, everything squeaked and rumbled on it. The bronze temple bell of the byodo-in temple in the valley of the temples cemetery just outside kaneohe, hawaii. The bell was cast in japan and had been installed in a free standing bell tower, as is customary in japan, and can be rung by anyone who passes by. It's timbre and sound reminded me very much of the bronze bell in hiroshima called the peace bell, which is in a tower directly across the river from the technical school ruins.

Cymbals, drums, one voice. Folk music outside of wat phra that doi suthep. You hear one instrument -besides the drum and the common pair of cymbals- which name i ignore -any help with this will be deeply appreciated!this instrument apparently is very common in north thailand and laos. It consists of cymbals hanging in a wood structure that operates with strings! i mean, a totally alien thing for me. Sound record it with -sorry- a gopro camera hero4, then edited with audacity.

I was just messing around with audacity again, this time slowing down my recording like a tape record, which not only stretched the time, but also turned down the frequency range which resulted in pitch shift. I stumbled around a sound that sounded like a huge horn exhaust - like those war pipes from celtics. So i experimented a little bit and made this one. Original recording was mono (but recorded to stereo track), however i added a reverb effect which created a nice stereo reverb effect. Feel free to use in games :).

Today i was cleaning the house on a leisurely sunday, and came across a piece of thicker paper by my printer. When i picked it up to put it in recycling, it was rather loud. There have been many times on jobs where i needed such a sound, and thought it would be a good asset to record and share. Hopefully it comes in handy for others needing this element. Recently we purchased a scale from ikea, when we finally got around to using it we realized that it must be off, as i do not weigh 240 lbs. As we did not have a receipt, or the desire to drive 2 hours to return a $10 scale the only course of action left to me was to take the damn thing apart and record its insides. (what else?). I recorded and edited together around 7 and a half minutes of various configurations and performances of me making some sort of repetitive, engine-like sound. I can foresee myself using these sounds for an old-timey engine or car. Recorded with a rode ntg-3 at 96/24.

A recording of flushing the toilet’s water, followed by a groaning door closing sound. Production stages : this sound was originally recorded by a group of students at university lyon 3. Then it was imported to audacity where few modifications were made. First of all, the record was precisely cut so there are no human voices in the background. Then, the sound was normalized and slightly compressed before applying the noise reduction effect. Last, but not least a constant gain was added at the beginning and lightly fading effect took his place at the end.

I wanted to record the sound of a keyring - or rather the keys strapped to it - make while in mid-air. There are the keys audible, recorded hitting the stack of hay (soft landing) and air blowign into the mics while the recordied has high velocity. I was throwing my recorer with my left hand, while simultaneously throwing my keyring with my right hand. The throw was vertical and the landing zone was a pile of hay. I thing there are some interesting sound here, i'm uploading it unedited to make it possible to cut out whatever you like. This lovely little toy piano has been a member of my parent’s home since before i can remember. These days it falls under the jurisdiction of my 4-year old niece, who was ever so kind as to allow me to record it!. It has a fabulous tinkling and out-of-tune carnival sort of sound, and i wanted to capture that before the piano was destroyed altogether. I have editing the original recordings and built a kontakt instrument with them, available for free on my website at www. Framingnoise. Com. Enjoy! and if you want to send me a link to what you’ve done with the piano in the comments below, i surely would love to hear it :).

This is a recording i made on sunday november 4th 2012 of the gentle, droning sounds of insects that were singing in a marshy area near the shore of a small lake. This is a very typical ambiance of autumn in the southern portion of illinois. If you listen carefully, you'll hear another very typical fall sound, the cry of blue jays in the heavy woods which surround this lake. One of my favorite sound-scapes. I made this with my rugged and dependable handy zoom h4n recorder, using its built-in microphones. I literaly had it sitting on a small log only about 15 feet from the water's edge. Because the insects were not very loud, i did have to crank up my record volume to 86 on the scale of 100; this means you will hear a little bit of slight wind rumble, but all-in-all i think the recording paints a good picture of the early autumn landscape and everything slows down and winds down for the bitter winter ahead. Enjoy.

This is a recording of an escalator at the main bus station in helsinki, finland. I heard it making this sound one day. It was quite loud in the space and i heard if from far away. It sounded like a street performer playing an odd instrument. I imagined that a drummer would have had fun jamming along with this. I missed the opportunity to record it that week, but luckily the thing wasn't fixed the next week when i was again at the same place. This was recorded with iphone xr, so it's not super quality (i actually took a video really close to the escalator, hoping the video recording gives the best sound), but maybe somebody finds some use for this (the sound can likely be well isolated). This is as unprocessed as it can be, straight from the original video.

To my amazement my cat decided to do somethign useful and actually came up to the bowl and started drinking the water. . . . . . Unfortunately i wasnt close mic'd - but my little booth is pretty quiet. . . . So thankyou oscar! you finally got a job to help pay for all those biscuits! technically he was no where near the large diaphragm cap mic , focusrite pre or motu 2408 :p.

A recording of dry leaves skittering across an asphalt parking lot around 2:00pm on a friday afternoon. I feel this recording captures the serene, but sad, sound of dry leaves in the fall being scattered about by a strong north wind. Recording made with the marantz pmd661-oade, and the incredible beyerdynamic me58 microphone. Since this particular microphone is a dynamic microphone, i had to crank my record gain up to 7. I was really happily surprised that the sometimes un-listenable wind-roar and wind rumble is barely noticeable on this recording. . . . . . Emjoy this autumn soundscape.
